Think about this verse going into the New Year...If we didn’t bring anything into this world, then why bring anything into the New Year? It’s a new year, you’re a new you, and you have a new beginning. So forget about those past problems and previous pressures, only to focus on those present promises and potential possibilities. Begin this New Year with balance, and in order to be balance you have to eliminate some excess weight. Remember, in order to get Godly wisdom you have to retain Him in your knowledge by studying His word to get an understanding.

I love the Lord, because He has heard my voice and my supplications. Because He has inclined His ear to me, therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live.

Think no one listens to you or understands you? Well I have good news for you on today. God’s sees and He cares all about what you are going through. Sometimes we think God does not listen to us, but He does. Proof, read (Exodus 3:7-8) where God tells Moses that He has seen the oppression of His people and He has heard their cry, and He will deliver them. So if He heard it then, He can hear it now. Keep a song on your heart it will help you cope with your situation. Remember, in order to get Godly wisdom you have to retain Him in your knowledge by studying His word to get an understanding.

Mark 2:22
“And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine bursts the wineskins, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But new wine must be put into new wineskins.”

We cannot bring the things of our past into our futures, or we will eventually ruin it. This verse of scripture tells us to get rid of the old and do something new. The old are things of our past that do not benefit our future. If we are to become new people, then we ought to do new things. So get rid of those old things that do not help the new you. You cannot have old bones in your new body. Keep in mind it is better to look ahead and prepare than to look back and regret. Remember, in order to get Godly wisdom you have to retain Him in your knowledge by studying His word to get an understanding.

We know when a season is getting ready to change because we get signs for ourselves instead of listening to the weather man. Even the weather man predicts and is not precise. Nature tells us when a season is getting ready to change. The same thing applies in our lives. No one knows the length of whatever season you are going through, but God. But if you pay close attention to the situation around you, you get signs of a new season near. So just keep your eyes open. When the season changes we need to make some changes. For example we should not be wearing winter jackets during the summer. So when God changes the season in your life adjust to the new season; don’t react to new seasons with old reasons. Remember, in order to get Godly wisdom you have to retain Him in your knowledge by studying His word to get an understanding.

If you stay in God’s word, and God’s word stays in you He will give you what you desire. It’s like eating; your body cannot function right if you deprive yourself of daily nutrition. Reading the word feeds your spirit. Once you begin getting into the word, it has to get into you. Reading it will not do it all, you have to begin living it; be a doer of the word (James 1:22). After you begin living the word this verse tells us that God promises to give us what we desire. If you take care of God’s business he will take care of your business. Do all things without complaining and disputing.

We cannot always say what’s on our minds. Sometimes we need to vent, but if our venting comes out like this verse of scripture then we need to keep it to ourselves. The Bible says a fool vents all his feelings but a wise man holds them back (Proverbs 29:11). God is in control of everything, He permits everything to go the way it is going, so if we complain about it then we’re complaining about God. He already told us all things work for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28). We are representing an invisible God in a visible way, and neither does complaining nor disputing represent Him right. “If you, then I” says the Lord. So many times we want God to make a move first, but God wants us to make the first move. It’s some things that come automatic with God, and then it’s some things that you have to work for with God. The Bible says that you reap what you sow, so if you sow nothing you reap nothing. Sowing isn’t always money; you can invest time with God, invest in people, or just serve. God wants people to work at something not people who work on nothing. Colossians 4:6
Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.

We tend to season food to enhance the outcome, but if you do not season it the right way it will be wasted. Typically when we season something we are bringing out the taste that is already in it. So let me bring it home. We have the ability to enhance each other with our words. Sometimes we say too much, or we use the wrong words, which gives others a bad taste. We have to learn how to season from the cookbook (Bible) so that we can enhance each others outcome. Death and life are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21). So either we enhance or eradicate others by our words. God is grace so if we speak with grace our words are a reminder of God. Remember words can heal and words can kill. Remember, in order to get Godly wisdom you have to retain Him in your knowledge by studying His word to get an understanding.

This verse of scripture is talking about those people that are un-teachable and un-trainable. These are people that listen to others only when something is said that they like, and not when something is said that is true. The bible says that unless you are converted and become like little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 18:3). Children are teachable, trainable, humble, and eager. They do not hold grudges for a long period of time, have attitudes all day, nor cut people off. So why do we do it as adults? We can learn something from children. We wonder why the divorce rate is at an all time. So loving God inside determines how you love others outside. Why carry your own burden when God told us to give our burdens to Him? He promises to sustain us. Have you ever known God to break any promises? Anytime He says shall in the Bible it is a promise. He promised also to sustain you. Sustain means support, so God will support you? With this in mind He won't permit you to be moved. He wants you to stand, when everything around you seems crazy, when doors get slammed, when hell breaks loose, and when people walk out on you keep in mind to let go and let God. If you want to see someone’s heart just listen to them speak. God is a reader of hearts (Romans 8:27), and He instructs us to write His word on the tablet of our hearts (Proverbs 3:3). He also tells us to guard our hearts because out of the heart springs the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23). So maintain some spiritual cardiovascular exercises to keep your heart healthy, and keep in mind it is not what goes into the mouth of a man that defiles him, but rather what comes out because it comes from the heart (Matthew 15:11). To last, to suffer patiently, or to tolerate is how the Merriam-Webster’s dictionary defines endure as. In this verse of scripture endure is the prerequisite to receiving God’s promises. In this generation we want our blessings fast. Those are the blessings that come without any endurance. God wants us to endure so we will enjoy and appreciate what He promised, and give all glory back to Him. The Bible says those that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength and mount up with wings like eagles (Isaiah 40:31). How can we renew our strength if we are impatient, and how can we mount up like eagles if we are in a rush? To wait on the Lord is to serve, trust, and have faith. We have to deny ourselves daily due to the fact that our flesh (physical) goes against our spirit (spiritual). We have become immune to following our flesh since the day we were born, and the day that we dedicate our lives to the Lord is the same day that the Spirit moves in. When the Spirit moves in it has to renovate, repair, refurbish, and restore us which is a process of reconstruction. This can be a strenuous, time consuming, tiring, and expensive process, but it’s well worth it. You can take a person out of poverty, but if their mind remains in poverty then they will remain in poverty. The mind is the most powerful tool given to us. Some people use this tool more than others, but we all are equipped with this tool. We should not think the same if we are to be changed. Do not react to present situations with past constellations. If you do so, change will not be evident to all, and when you change at least someone should notice. Keep in mind also not that change is what will show others God manifesting in your life. Can you believe that the best is still yet to come? God has so much in store for you, which explains why the test didn’t destroy you. Yes, you might have messed up, but you didn’t give up, your blessings may seem to have dried up, but that was only for you to wake up. So give God your undivided attention, and watch Him do the unimaginable in your life. Imagine being auctioned off at a very costly price with two bidders that want you; one being the Almighty and the other being the adversary. One promises to give you eternal life, in addition to His grace and mercy, and the other one tells you that he can give you money, power and respect. One can feel you with love, and the other can feel you with lust. One gave up His son for the remission of sin, and the other gave up his title to commit sin. So make a choice!!! Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give into temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak.

Be mindful that the enemy is looking for a way to deceive you, distract you, and destroy you. He is waiting for you to put your guard down so that he can try and knock you off of your square. Keeping watch in the military is a 24 hour duty, and as a soldier in God’s Army you have to keep watch spiritually, which will influence you mentally, and control you physically. Our thoughts can be beneficial or consequential. Positive thinking is operating in faith, while negative thinking is operating in fear or doubt. Positive thinking is seeing the good in a bad situation, knowing that all things work for the good of those who love the Lord (Romans 8:28). So think positive on today because your overt shapes your covert.

We are not only God’s family, but we are also God’s friends. The world’s definition of a friend is meaningless compared to God’s definition of a friend: to lay down one’s life for (John 15:13). We may not get that love, affection, comfort, and security from people, but we can get that, plus more, from God. So stay encouraged and know that you are God’s friend. Sometimes we seek to find fruit on a barren tree. This verse of scripture teaches us that every tree is known by its fruit (Luke 6:44). If the tree we seek isn’t producing any fruit then we should first try to dig around it and fertilize it before we cut it down. This is why we should not jump to conclusions. Have you ever felt like for every step you take forward, you end up having to take two steps backwards? What about rebuilding something that seems impossible when you look at all the damage that has been done? This scripture tells us that we need to remove the rubbish before we can begin to rebuild. In other words, you have to clean out your wounds before you can begin the healing process. Whether it’s how we treat others or our conduct at work, at home, and at school, we know what we are doing. Our private lives should match our public lives. Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.

Some things look as if they can and will destroy you. You will be amazed at what you can handle as a child of God that other people outside of a relationship with God cannot handle. God gives you the specific tools you need for whatever it is you face that needs to be fixed. From a word of wisdom to make a specific decision, to a peace that passes all understanding in the midst of a storm. He can and will do just what He says, never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). The weapons might form and appear to look devastating, but they only form they do not succeed. This is why you should never repay evil for evil, or react to negativity instead you should respond to negativity. Responses are more controllable than reactions. So make a response to those weapons when they form against you, and the best response begins with prayer. Mark 9:23
Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”

Your breakthrough is in your belief. This verse tells us that all things are possible to him who believes. Not some things but all things. I was once told that anyone can believe in God, but not everyone can believe God. God takes us to higher levels of belief once we step out on faith. He won’t give you what requires the faith to move a mountain, if you haven’t received the faith to move a mole hill. If you want to see things happen in your life you have to believe God for it. Believing God for something isn’t a job it is a duty. So be on duty and believe God not only for the things in your life, but also for others. Behold, happy is the man whom God corrects; Therefore do not despise the chastening of the Almighty.

Sometimes life lands us a low blow, and we get hit below the belt. In boxing a low blow can eliminate a boxer from finishing the fight, and is also a tactic used by the opponent to distract the other fighter or break their focus. The referee allows a certain amount of low blows to be thrown before he deducts points away from the one throwing. So the low blows eventually work against the one who threw them.

The referee (God) allows the opponent (the enemy) to throw a certain amount of low blows to you, before they began working against him (the enemy).
