Have you ever been anxious to get the promises of God? How about recover everything that was taken from you? Well sometimes you cannot always see it with you natural eyes, but God will send a word to bless you. When you seek an answer you will find an answer (Matthew 7:7). Sometimes the things we are seeking answers for, God had already given us an answer for, but we may have overlooked it, or we probably wasn’t paying attention. The great thing about God is that He is a God of confirmation. He is repetitious in the word, so He will be repetitious with your word. Just listen to the still small voice. Remember, in order to get Godly wisdom you have to retain Him in your knowledge by studying His word to get an understanding.

Here is the recipe for today…

Joshua 6:20
So the people shouted when the priests blew the trumpets, and it happened when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat.

Not everyone will understand what it is God has you doing, going through, facing, believing, trusting, and waiting for. In this text God instructed Joshua to have the men march around the city walls of Jericho for six days, and on the seventh day they had to march around it seven times, blow trumpets and then shout, and it was then that God made the walls fall.

Now that probably did not make since to the people inside the walls as they were listening and watching, nor did it make since to those who were marching and shouting. The only person that it made perfect sense to was the one who received the instructions first hand, Joshua. Remember, in order to get Godly wisdom you have to retain Him in your knowledge by studying His word to get an understanding.

Here is the recipe for today…

Psalms 91:15
He shall call upon Me, and I will answer Him: I will be with Him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.

God promises in this text to answer you when you call or cry out to Him. He is not watching you in the storm, He is helping you hold the umbrella. He did not watch the three Hebrew boys get thrown in the fiery furnace, He just jumped in there with them (Daniel 3:25). He did not just let Daniel get thrown in the Lions Den unprotected, He just got in there with him and held the mouths of the lions (Daniel 6:22).

He was with the disciples in the storm (Mark 4:39), so what makes him indifferent when it comes to you? He is right there with you. He answers those who call, but first you have to call out to Him. Remember, in order to get Godly wisdom you have to retain Him in your knowledge by studying His word to get an understanding.

There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear.

God is love, so if we say we have love (God), then we do not fear. Why fear what can happen to you, if you have God. Why stress over your situation, when you have God. Why feel left-behind, hopeless, dropped off, disappointed, defeated, and forsaken, when you have God. He navigated you where you are now, and He will continue to navigate where you go as long as you yield to Him and not to them. Matthew 4:5-6
Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, “If you are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written: He shall give His angels charge over you, and in their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone.

The enemy knows how to tempt you, and with what or with whom to tempt you, but you have to know that he is trying to distort what your vision. He tried to distort Jesus with the scriptures, so why won’t he try to distort you with things or people you are familiar with? Jesus stood on what he believed and was not moved by the enemy (outside influences). So don’t you be moved by outside influences, be centered in Christ.

The enemy knows that people who do not have faith in their future will always return to their past. So that is why he tempts you with familiar things. Remember, in order to get Godly wisdom you have to retain Him in your knowledge by studying His word to get an understanding.

To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy.

God can keep you, even when you do not want to keep yourself. His plans are to prosper you and not to harm you, and He has plans to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11), so stay encouraged. Maybe you feel like the disciples on board the boat during a terrible storm, and Jesus being below deck sound asleep. Well let me encourage you today. God sees, God hears, God cares, and He has already made plans to bring you out. Tragedies can be opportunities. The easiest way to not examine yourself is to blame others. Some people like to blame others for their struggles, hurts, pains, problems, shortcomings, and feelings. The truth of the matter is that everything falls on you; you are responsible for carrying your own cross. No one has control over our lives but God, and He has given us choice. When you point the finger at someone else you end up pointing three fingers right back at yourself, try it out. Matthew 8:8
The centurion answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that you should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.

God can turn your situation around in only a word. This text teaches us that if He can create the world with just words, then obviously He can heal with words. See, it took faith for the centurion to use faith by saying but only speak a word, and Jesus responded in faith by saying “Go your way: and as you have believed, so let it be done for you” (v.13). One word from the Lord with restores, creates, removes, delivers, unlocks, or heals anything in your life, and in the lives of others. What the enemy anticipates will destroy you, God uses to develop you. So take care and take charge because God is in full control. Have you ever lost something that you know was consumed by the enemy? Well I have good news for you on today; God is a God of restoration who loves to give His children double for their trouble. Everything that was stolen, destroyed, shipwrecked, consumed, and confiscated by the enemy will be given back to you better than it was when it was taken from you. God is not inconsistent, God is sovereign, so He will help you pursue, overtake, and recover all (1 Samuel 30:8). Can you believe God for it? God sometimes assigns us to places we do not want to go. That is what makes it hard to be strong and of good courage when you are on certain assignments from and for God. Look at Abraham, do you think he wanted to leave the land he was familiar with? What about Jonah who was told to go to Nineveh? These different examples in the bible shows us that sometimes God puts us in places or situations we would not go on our own, but that he assigns us to them for a certain season. I waited patiently for the Lord; and He inclined to me and heard my cry. He brought me out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps.

You have to be reminded that while you wait on the Lord He hears your petitions. Your prayer is not in vain, He has already acted on your behalf spiritually; it’s just that you cannot see it physically. It might be delayed, but it is not denied. He has a master plan for your life that is better than anything you can ever imagine. When He brings you out of the situation or circumstance, He will set you up on solid ground where you will be stable, and unmovable in your faith. If you are waiting on God to move whether it be by word or action this verse is a good reference for you. First you have to ask in faith, and sometimes we have not because we ask not (James 4:2). Asking in faith is knowing that God will give you an answer, you just have to open your eyes, ears, and heart. Sometimes God even gives you an answer before you put your lips together to ask Him (Isaiah 65:24). We live in a society where people settle for less out of fear or are just plain lazy. Why not go after what you want, or fight for what you believe in? Because that requires faith, and so many of us do not want to step out on faith because it is uncomfortable for us. God has given us all the tools (resources) we need in life, so draw them from the toolbox (Bible), and begin constructing. The harvest is plenty, and your blessings are here. Job 16:6
Though I speak, my grief is not relieved; and if I remain silent, how am I eased?

What do you do when you think talking about something painful or stressful will relieve you, and it doesn’t? Or not saying anything at all about it, but remaining silent doesn’t work for you either? Well, you are left with one option of venting, and that is writing (journaling). Most of us don’t have the time or the interest in writing down how we feel.

Ask David how he wrote the Psalms, or Paul how he wrote the letters. They both would probably say out of a need to get what was on the inside, out. So I encourage you to write it out, it will bless you when you read it in the future. Remember, in order to get Godly wisdom you have to retain Him in your knowledge by studying His word to get an understanding.

Believing is what initiates receiving. On my occasions Jesus said to those He healed “your faith has made you well”, on other occasions it was the faith of someone else acting on that persons behalf that got them healed. Regardless of the different methods, the means stayed the same, by faith (belief). So examine your own faith level to see where you are (2 Corinthians 13:5). Joshua 1:8
This book of law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it night and day, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it: For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

This shows us the importance of daily bible study. If you want to become prosperous and have good success then studying God’s word provides the foundation for that. Good success is different from regular success, good success is Godly success. The Word guides you, so in order to by guided in the right direction study the word (Psalm 119:105).

Often times we get guidance, but is it from the Lord? If we cannot back our decisions up with scripture then how can we say God gave us His stamp of approval? Often times we make the first move then ask God for His blessing, or we ask God but then make a move before He gives us an answer. Do not be concerned with anything past today. God is already in tomorrow preparing it for you, so you have no need to worry about anything. He has given you a brand new 24 hours that is right in front of you so take full advantage of it. Put all your worries at the foot of His throne and watch Him give you what he has (Matthew 11:29) which is rest. Focus on today and tomorrow will fall into place. God loves to operate in areas that look dead, destroyed, diminished, defeated, and dried up. This gives Him a chance to confirm your faith, and to remind you of His sovereignty. So walk the walk, talk the talk and know that God is in full control, and that He gives us power to either speak life to it or death to it (Proverbs 18:21). Keep in mind whatever you bind on earth is bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth is loosed in heaven (Matthew 16:19). The question is, do you believe? Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the LORD that will stand.

The Lord’s purpose will prevail, no matter what you think you know or feel. So many times we act naïve to the will of God, because we have too many outside influences, other times we become naïve from inside influences. At the end of the day, you will have to run laps around your blessing because you overlooked it each time if you continue to be naïve. God has a lifetime, so you might as well surrender it “all” to Him, and your “that” to Him as well. That is that one thing that you are holding on to. Your attitude determines your altitude.
