Joshua 1:8
This book of law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it night and day, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it: For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
This shows us the importance of daily bible study. If you want to become prosperous and have good success then studying God’s word provides the foundation for that. Good success is different from regular success, good success is Godly success. The Word guides you, so in order to by guided in the right direction study the word (Psalm 119:105).
Often times we get guidance, but is it from the Lord? If we cannot back our decisions up with scripture then how can we say God gave us His stamp of approval? Often times we make the first move then ask God for His blessing, or we ask God but then make a move before He gives us an answer. Remember, in order to get Godly wisdom you have to retain Him in your knowledge by studying His word to get an understanding.
