If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.
We have to deny ourselves daily due to the fact that our flesh (physical) goes against our spirit (spiritual). We have become immune to following our flesh since the day we were born, and the day that we dedicate our lives to the Lord is the same day that the Spirit moves in. When the Spirit moves in it has to renovate, repair, refurbish, and restore us which is a process of reconstruction. This can be a strenuous, time consuming, tiring, and expensive process, but it’s well worth it. Remember, in order to get Godly wisdom you have to retain Him in your knowledge by studying His word to get an understanding.
