Food 4 Thought 12/15/07

Greetings,
Here is the recipe for today…

Hebrews 6:15

And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

To last, to suffer patiently, or to tolerate is how the Merriam-Webster’s dictionary defines endure as. In this verse of scripture endure is the prerequisite to receiving God’s promises. In this generation we want our blessings fast. Those are the blessings that come without any endurance. God wants us to endure so we will enjoy and appreciate what He promised, and give all glory back to Him. The Bible says those that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength and mount up with wings like eagles (Isaiah 40:31). How can we renew our strength if we are impatient, and how can we mount up like eagles if we are in a rush? To wait on the Lord is to serve, trust, and have faith. Remember, in order to get Godly wisdom you have to retain Him in your knowledge by studying His word to get an understanding.

“The more you yield, the more you build”
