Yet he has no root in himself, but endures only for a while. For when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles.
Often times when we are challenged or when we are going through a storm in life we seem to want to relieve our stresses somehow, someway. This verse of scripture tells us that the storm is happening for the word sake, and how we need to be rooted (unmovable) within ourselves. It is easy to live right when everything is going right, but the question is can you continue to live right when everything seems to be going wrong? Remember, in order to get Godly wisdom you have to retain Him in your knowledge by studying His word to get an understanding.
