Are you easily irritated, quick tempered, always agitated, tense or stressed? These are symptoms to a lack of self control. Others do not have the capability to change your behavior, only you do. A house without doors and windows is easy to enter into and steal from, vandalize, or exploit. So make sure that you equip yourself with durable doors, and wind-resistant windows so that people cannot enter your house without permission (guard your heart). Jesus being God manifested in flesh even needed assistance with carrying His heavy cross at one point (Matthew 27:32). If you were there and saw Jesus bloody, sweaty, broken, smelly, and in pain struggling to carry the cross, would you talk about Him, offer Him your advice, criticize Him, look down upon Him, throw Him some change or ignore Him? Then why would you do it to your brother or sister who you see bloody, sweaty, broken, smelly, and in pain struggling to carry their cross. God’s design was to show us how we can help someone along their journey. Remember, in order to get Godly wisdom you have to retain Him in your knowledge by studying His word to get an understanding.
